You have free drafting at your fingertips. You will not be charged for our design work. Based on your recommendations, a PDF drawing, based on ANSI standards, will be emailed to you with all the installation measurements.

There are no minimum orders. Yes, we do single piece custom orders quite often. Don’t be shy with small volume. We want to hear from you and help you if possible.

Pedestal PRO’s 20,000 ft2 manufacturing facility is clean, organized, and contains the world’s best equipment for pedestal production. We are able to control our timelines better than other fabricators because our factory has consolidated numerous operations under a single roof. Rarely do processes need to be outsourced.

Ready materials

We stock numerous sheets and tubes for timely custom work. Materials in stock at Pedestal PRO include:

Zinc rich primer

We strongly encourage using zinc rich primer (#7520-70138) as a pre-coat for projects requiring powder coating. It serves a dual role as both a bonding agent between the steel and the powder, and as an excellent rust preventer and protector. Although powder coatings are extremely durable, exceptionally resistant to corrosion, and able to withstand exposure to harsh UV rays, in some circumstances a dual layer, with rich zinc primer as the base layer, is required to achieve optimal corrosion resistance and meet specific appearance requirements. In these cases, you should request this zinc rich primer (#7520-70138) base coat as part of your project.

Powder coating

We apply a TCI 9000 series (or equivalent) outdoor-rated TGIC polyester powder coat to our products. Read more here for technical information: product overview

Galvanizing

Galvanizing is an excellent rust inhibitor and can meet the needs of industrial projects. Applying a powder coating finish over galvanized material is not recommended but is available. The galvanized process covers the steel in a rough finish that will ultimately present a final rough finish to any powder coating applied. (For carbon steel only.)

Brushed #4 Finish

We deploy the world’s best machines to produce a beautiful, uniform, brushed #4 polish (180 grit) on stainless steel surfaces to give your project an elegant look to match your architectural facade. (For stainless steel only.)

Library of devices

Over the years, we’ve collected a large library of industry access control devices including their dimensions, cutout specifications, and mounting hole patterns. This helps us design your pedestal solution accurately. If the device you’re using is not in our system then please send us something to get us started—an installation guide, link to the manufacturer’s web page, etc.—and we’ll add it to our library.

Attention to detail

Our design team considers every detail to ensure your customer’s needs are met and to encourage their swift approval. Likewise, our craftsmen pay attention to each detail during fabrication—even going so fa-solid as to blend the radius corners of a pedestal tube to match the radius corners of an access control device; or, to mirror-finish the edges of a pedestal to reflect the light from the sun that will enter your glass lobby. We care. And we use our creativity and expertise to ensure your pedestal solution will portray your access control devices in the best presentation possible.

An installers perspective

Our fabrication team is made up of former installers themselves. They know the pitfalls of being on location when something goes wrong. Because of this, they help our engineers define the standards and practices to incorporate into our CAD designs to ensure every installation will be easy. Everything can be precut, lined up, and matched to accept bolts, wires, and devices so your work in the field is minimized. There is nothing better than an installation that goes perfectly and looks stunning when you leave.
